What is the difference between a "custom detailed" and "custom flexible" itinerary?
The biggest difference is that our custom detailed itinerary includes a daily plan/schedule with logical sequencing based on neighborhoods, activities, etc. This is designed to help reduce the stress and planning so that you can simply be present and enjoy.
Do you book flights and accommodations for us?
While we provide curated recommendations for the best flights and stays based on your preferences, we do not handle direct bookings. All final booking decisions, payments, confirmations, and travel documents must be completed and reviewed by you. This ensures you maintain full control of your reservations and travel points. Our recommendations are based on our personal experience and research. We are not responsible for the quality, availability, performance, cancellations, delays, overbookings, pricing changes, or any other issues that may arise with airlines, hotels, rental companies, tour operators, or third-party providers. Any concerns or disputes must be addressed directly with the provider.
How far in advance should I start planning?
We recommend reaching out at least 4-6 months before your intended travel dates. This ensures we have the best availability for top-tier accommodations and unique local experiences. Please keep that variables such as your destination and the time of year you intend to travel may greatly impact the planning timeline. If you know you are traveling to a popular destination during peak season, please reach out to begin the planning process ASAP.
How long does the planning process take?
Our goal is to always provide thoughtful and intentional itineraries that are customized to your specific interests and priorities. However, we also understand efficiency is key in order to secure activities, flights, accommodations, etc. Our timeline for itinerary completion will depend on several key factors, such as the length of your trip, the locations, and how soon your trip is, etc. We will discuss a timeline with you at your travel consultation call.
Do you accept revisions to your itineraries?
During the initial travel consultation call, we will work with you to make key decisions such as locations, routes, pacing and dates. Following this call, a grace period is given in which we and you have time to do additional research and finalize major trip decisions. At this point, itinerary planning begins and we no longer accept major revisions. However, we are in constant communication with you throughout the planning process to ensure that the itinerary aligns with your priorities and interests. We will reach out with any questions and oftentimes provide multiple options for things such as restaurants, activities, etc. We encourage customers to share any new ideas with us, and we try to be as accommodating as possible!
